Me avisan que Leo Bacteria, miembro de bandas como M.D.A, Insumisión, y últimamente Pestaña, ha sido encontrado sin vida en su departamento. De hecho siento un ahogo en la garganta porque a Leo lo conozco desde esos años del Rock subterráneo cuando usaba unos chancabuques que eran más grandes que él. Ya desde chibolo bajaba a los conciertos en el Hueko y en la casa jarcore de Barranco.
Fue editor del fanzine Azko. Y por esa costumbre subte de asociar tu nombre con lo que hacías o de dónde eras, lo bautizamos como Leonardito Azko. Hasta que años después él mismo adoptaría el seudónimo de Leo Bacteria.
Lo conocí en un concierto de la jato Jarcore de Barranco, por 1989. De ahí fuimos coincidiendo en las demás tocadas donde se presentaban las bandas que marcaban el ritmo de nuestros descontentos.
Siempre polémico, llamó la atención con M.D.A banda pionera del Noise junto a otras de principios de los noventa. O con Insumisión, una banda de technorocknoise con la que gritaba consignas antitodo, en medio de bandas guitarreras. Últimamente despertaba odios y amores con Pestaña, a la cual denominaba banda de Tontipop.
Siempre consideró al hardcore crudo y visceral como lo suyo. Odiaba a los melódicos y a los hardcoreboys que suavizaban la propuesta de un estilo que nació para irritar oídos y cerebros. De esta forma me confesaría que era muy hincha de mi banda Dictadura de Conciencia, y de Dios Hastío. Recuerdo las palabras con las que mencionó a D.D.C en una reseña sobre el primer demo de DH en la revista Caleta: “El siempre recordado Dictadura de Conciencia”.
Fue uno de los propulsores del CD Historia del Rock subterráneo 1985 – 1992, donde incluyó un tema de Dictadura de Conciencia, llamado Masas.
La última vez que lo vi fue en el bar Zela donde trabajaba, y me preguntó si asistiría al concierto de Aerolíneas Federales. Se sentó por un momento en la mesa donde me encontraba con unos amigos, y conversamos un poco de música.
Hoy ya no está más con nosotros, y fácil lo hubiera visto en el concierto de Narcosis o en los que anuncian el retorno de Eutanasia. De igual forma sé que estará en medio del pogo junto a Kilowatt, el Omiso, Matute, el maya, y otros subtes que fueron y ya no están.

Lo ví por última vez (2011) en el concert de Tear for Fears dando afiches de su concert con Chimo Bayo............GRACIAS POR TODO LEO.......ESTÉS DÓNDE ESTÉS....sigue regalándonos tu magia musical.

ResponderEliminarLo conoci en una viaje en combi por la av. petit thouars alla por el 95, conversanmos de musica y conciertos ya que lo habia visto muchas veces en el Mas alla y en los conciertos del bar La Noche, nos hicimos patas y es por el (que siempre me pasaba la voz para que baje a los conciertos que se daban en esa epoca) que conozco a todos los locos punk/hardcores con los que hasta ahora me une una gran amistad.
